From bubbling potions to wacky experiments, kids dive into the wonders of the natural world through interactive activities. They’ll explore the tiny world of germs, discover the forces of nature, and even experiment with light and color. It’s all about hands-on discovery and sparking that “wow” moment in every budding scientist. Every camp will include elements of chemistry, biology and physics. ![Image](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/21/dmsteam-2.jpg) Kids may love video games and YouTube, but we’ll show them creative ways to put their passion for technology to use. From coding and robotics to animation and graphic design, children will unlock new tech skills and soft skills (like while building, designing, and creating at our camps. At Designer Minds, we show children how to use technology to create, rather than just consume. ![Image](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/21/dmsteam_4-2.jpg) Building, creating, and tinkering are at the heart of our engineering adventures! Children willl design their own inventions and solve challenges, developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills while learning how the world around them is constructed. ![Image](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/21/dmsteam_2-2.jpg) Kids can unleash their creativity through a mix of digital and physical art projects. From animation and graphic design to hands-on crafting, our camps allow children to explore their artistic side while integrating technology and design principles. Everyone can be an artist at Designer Minds ![Image](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/21/dmsteam_3-2.jpg) We make math fun by incorporating it into real-world challenges. Kids will use mathematical concepts to solve puzzles, design structures, and complete engaging tasks, helping them understand how math plays a key role in engineering, coding, and everyday life. ![Image](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/21/dmsteam_5-2.jpg) ![designermindscr202486.jpg](https://designerminds.ie/images/2024/10/18/designermindscr202486.jpg) ## Our Approach to Learning ### EDUCATION FOR OUR FUTURE At Designer Minds camps, your children will be introduced to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths) in a fun and engaging way, using cutting-edge equipment and expertly crafted lesson plans. Prepare your children for a brighter future, as skills in these subjects are becoming more necessary across all disciplines, as we live in a more technological and visual world. The sense of achievement your child will gain through completing the camp’s varied activities will help foster confidence in their own abilities and excitement for future possibilities. ### ENTERTAINING EDUCATION Our activities are designed to be entertaining and enjoyable, because learning occurs most easily when children are interested and engrossed. Children are not tested or graded but given the opportunity to grow confident in their natural ability to design, make and experiment. At Designer Minds camps, children are having so much fun, they do not even know that they are learning! ### EXPERT-LED EDUCATION Designer Minds experiences have been carefully curated by some of the leading Irish experts in STEAM education. Your children will have the opportunity to explore subjects and use materials that are not always available at school or at home. They will take part in a unique programme, which has been carefully designed to encompass interactive learning, creativity, fun, friendships and teamwork. ### HANDS-ON EDUCATION At Designer Minds, your child will get involved with interactive activities and ***learn through doing***. This is how children learn best and this is how children enjoy learning! We bring computers, science materials, engineering toys, robots, art supplies and much more. Our programmes are varied, captivating and exciting. Your child can attend from 1st to 6th class, as of September 2026, or from age 6.5 to 12 or 13, and learn something new every time. Day 1, she was made feel so welcomed by the lovely teachers and other children. The days were filled with just the right amount of fun and challenging activities to keep her interested. She is already looking forward to attending next year.“ Orlagh, Tuam “Lauren thoroughly enjoyed her week at Steam Camp Kilkenny. Lauren (7) is from Co Galway and knew no one going to the Kilkenny camp but from the very first day she had made new friends and came out gleaming full of enthusiasm and awe with what she was learning and all the new friends she had made. I highly recommend Designer Minds Steam camp. She will definitely be back next year. Thank you all for an awesome week.“ Robert, Kilkenny “Benjamin loved the camp so much! He was nervous going into it because he thought he might be the oldest there (he’d just turned 13). But he jumped into the car after the first day and he was all chat, telling me all about the cool things they had done and the friends he’d made. I was delighted and so happy for him. The variety of activities throughout the week was great and I’d highly recommend the camp! Thank you to all involved!“ Sharon, Killarney “This is Malachys 3rd year doing the Designer Minds camp and he loves it. He loves the variety of activities especially coding through lightbot. He has come home everyday this week full of enthusiasm and ideas of how he could use what he's learned. He loves coding and has downloaded the app since last year. It's an amazing and creative camp making steam a fun and creative experience. It's so different from the other sport related camps and I feel that it reaches children of all academic levels and ages. Continued succes and we'll see you again next summer. Thanks so much for another memorable camp.“ Julie-Anne, Ennis “ My son, 11 had a fantastic week in your Summer camp. It covered such a wide spectrum of activities. All of which he loved. When I asked him would he like to attend this camp again he said he would love to and would recommend it to his friends. From my perspective I think it's wonderful to have a camp like this because not all kids enjoy sporting activity camps. Hopefully see you again in your next camp. “ Nicola, Navan “It is very interesting and gave me a chance to make new friends. It was exciting and lots of fun doing all the different projects. It was fun thinking about what activity was coming next. My favorite thing about the camp was makeing the clay frames movie. I would definitely recommend this designer minds camp. “ Róisín aged 13, Limerick “ My 10 year old son absolutely loved this camp! He was nervous beforehand because he didn't know what to expect but had so much fun the first day that he couldn't wait for the next day's activities! Every day was so interesting, he met new friends and the staff were lovely. He thoroughly enjoyed every day and I'd highly recommend this camp to other kids who have an interest in science and technology. “ Niamh, Oranmore " Having 5 children with all different interests and hobbies, some one mention this camp to me. My daughter isn't really sporty but loves art and science. She knew no one doing it. We arrived on the first day and were greeted by the most friendliest and professional team. They actually seemed to genuinely love their job and the children. We will definitely be returning next year. So big thank you for all the people involved.
